Short description: The challenge owner’s solar solution can measure the SoC of DC battery systems but not yet of AC coupled batteries without data communication. The solution should calculate battery data based on battery charge/discharge cycles (measured by an external unit), enabling a better system management.

Market potential: The photovoltaic sector has high annual growth rates (18% in 2020). More and more installations are being enlarged by a solar battery. This and many similar solutions are needed.

Timing: Due to the booming market, the sooner, the better!

Desired result: The challenge owner will be able to improve its current solar services which support customers in analysing, visualising and optimising their solar systems. The new solution will allow the integration of AC coupled battery models in an existing software solution.
