Short description: Starting from 2023 Narva citizens are entitled to sort organic waste in addition to mixed package and cardboard/paper waste. People mostly live in dwellings with trash ducts next to their flat door. Due to this reason it is a challenge to motivate people to sort organic waste.

Market potential: Product needs to be designed in order for it to function in cold weather conditions and provide a personal value outcome. Public sector (ex. schools) and private customers (businesses, dwellings).

Timing: Ideally, first solutions should be implemented in the beginning of 2023.

Desired result: Schools and co-operative housing associations use organic waste recycling solutions. Users are motivated to recycle organic waste by opportunity to reproduce energy for personal use. Produced energy can be saved or re-used to power system itself or outdoor lighting.
