Library of Challenges

Short description: Currently the schedules in bus stops are printed on paper and replaced couple of times per year. Problems:_x000D_
– Poor visibility_x000D_
– Lack of real-time information_x000D_
– Hassle to replace (time- and resource-intensive)_x000D_
_x000D_End users are Tallinn’s citizens using public transportation + tourists.

Market potential: Tallinn has around 1200 bus stops, but of course the display system will be handled centrally with telematic data links to buses and trams for real-time information display.

Timing: The sooner the better, but no hard deadline. We are ready to proceed at any time.

Desired result: Digital bus schedules in Tallinn bus stops with real-time arrival/departure information. Ideally the display is split in two halves: the first one displays the pre-determined schedule and second real-time traffic information.

Information on challenge owner: City/municipality.
