Short description: Evidence about the multiple benefits of energy-efficient renovations can increase the speed of building renovations. A user-friendly data collection platform using a framework of 13 indicators will help municipalities to monitor retrofit effectiveness on a project basis and justify future decisions.
Market potential: At first municipalities are targeted (130 000 municipalities in the Council of European Municipalities and Regions). The yearly annual renovation target for municipal buildings is 3% (defined by EU).
Timing: An impact framework of BuildUpon2 is introduced in 5 cities to monitor renovation progress. HuGBC can connect solution providers to the 5 participating and 10-50 future users.
Desired result: A web and/or mobile based tool to collect and analyze data in a user friendly way that can increase local engagement and the speed and rate of energy efficient retrofits conducted and/or incentivized by municipalities.
