Short description: Electrification is the key pathway for decarbonisation of transportation. To electrify sustainably, we need to take care of battery recycling. We are looking for innovations that enable the electric transformation of transportation by building a circular battery economy.

Market potential: EV sales is expected to grow 15-fold by 2030 (BNEF). The demand for battery materials will grow accordinlgy. This is the opportunity of a generation – one of the most promising markets in the world.

Timing: We are willing to adopt solutions immediately. The global demand for battery recycling is acute and growing strongly in the 2020’s.

Desired result: We would like to see innovative approaches to building the circular economy. Ideally, we would like to progress to piloting a concrete solution and, if successful, scaling the solution promptly.
