Daniel is a social entrepreneur, coach and mentor for tech start-ups and SMEs.
His focus is on strategic & operational sales, team & organisational development as well as crisis management & scaling.
Until 2020, Daniel was CEO of the technology company Bike Citizens for about 10 years. With a founding budget of €1,500, he built a team of 50+ employees. During this time, he delivered hardware & software solutions to 100+ countries around the world, including satisfied public clients like the cities of Amsterdam, Hamburg, Berlin and Vienna.
He is the inventor of the universal smartphone holder Finn, which has been awarded multiple times, including the Eurobike Award, and has been sold more than 1 million times through both B2C and B2B channels.
In addition, Daniel implemented research contracts (e.g. European Space Agency) and advised international organisations such as the World Bank and the EU Commission on topics of sustainable mobility and digitalization.
After negotiations with several investors, he raised seven-figure investment capital to leverage the company’s vision of sharing the joy of cycling with as many people as possible.
Stepping out of the management board of Bike Citizens in 2020, he took an extended paternity leave with his son and continued his studies in systems science. In the summer of 2021, Daniel also had more time to enjoy Europe by bike and rode solo from Austria to Istanbul in less than 14 days, covering almost 2,000km.
Today, Daniel supports other founders on their way from an idea to a successful and satisfied company.
